Information Architecture (IA) is the discipline of organizing and structuring information (logically, conceptually, and graphically) to ensure that users will be able to find and use the information resources they need. It bridges human empathy and data organization. Without sound IA principles, users face high cognitive load, often feeling lost or frustrated when navigating Websites or apps.
This course explores the evolution of the field, from classic IA (e.g., taxonomies, navigation, and metadata) to post-search-engines IA (e.g., LLMs and structuring data for maschine-driven discovery).
Through a blend of theoretical frameworks and hands-on exercises, students will learn to design scalable and sustainable information environments
